生活英语|美国俚语：“（戏）演过头了！”

不入戏非常难成为好演员，但假如太入戏、演的过了火候，恐怕也非常难被叫做好演员。俚语中，演戏演过头可表达为to chew the scenery。

Chew the scenery最早可追溯到古希腊。在古希腊戏剧中，大家常用该短语来形容那些矫揉造作、演得过于热情的小白。Scenery在此当然不是表示风景了，而是用来指代舞台布景。

试想，舞台剧中，最与演员息息有关的是表情、道具或演出服，但欠火候的演员却没办法恰如其分解释表演的真谛 他们把精力放在了舞台背景上（to chew the scenery）。

除此之外，演过头并不只拘泥于to chew the scenery这一种表达，你还可用to over-act或to ham it up来表达演过头。
